Vinyl Installation

Once you've made your purchase, a Gilman Floors representative will be in touch to confirm your installation appointment & discuss everything you need to know prior to your luxury vinyl installation. In the meantime, there are a few things to know.

First, you'll need to prepare the room in advance. While we will move your furniture for you, you'll need to move any fragile items and empty any closets. You'll also want to make sure you handle any other renovation projects, such as painting, before the day of your vinyl installation. You won’t want to spill paint on your new floors!

We might deliver your luxury vinyl a few days before your installation so that it can acclimate to the temperature and humidity level of your home. If this is the case, we will be sure to let you know in advance.

On the day of your installation, an adult member of your household (at least 18 years of age) will need to be home to show our installers to the work area. We'll evaluate the space and make sure your subfloor is ready. With luxury vinyl, there is usually no need to remove your existing flooring, as most products are designed for a floating installation.
